Credit/Certifications

Every student who successfully completes a course at Qalam wa Lawh Center may request an official transcript. Students also receive a certificate of completion and a hand painted, personalized wooden Lawh (tablet) detailing their name, course level, date of completion as well as their instructor’s name.

Equivalency and University Credit

Arabic Courses at Qalam wa Lawh meet the academic standards of most University level Arabic courses.  In order to get college or university credit for courses at Qalam Center, students need to seek preapproval through the academic advisor at their home institution to ascertain credit equivalency.  Qalam will provide the home institution with the necessary documentation (syllabi, schedule, cultural activities, contact hours, ...) necessary for independent or study abroad credit.

Certificates of Participation: All students at Qalam wa Lawh are granted a certificate of participation from our program upon exit, regardless of the duration of their study.
