Arabic Language Cafe: International Workers’ Day

Arabic Language Cafe Thursday
May 2, 2019 from 4:30pm to 6:00pm

This week’s Arabic Language Café will discuss International Worker’s Day.

International Workers’ Day is an opportunity to celebrate the role of the working class in society.

Also known as May Day, this day is a day to celebrate the working class throughout the world, by reviewing its most important gains and achievements and also guiding the focus towards persistent obstacles. The working class is the engine of society and the locomotive of development towards the future of any nation. It is the cornerstone of societal development and civilization, rendering the majority of the middle-class indispensable. This holiday reflects the fulfillment and recognition of the efforts and sacrifices made by this group in order to achieve the demands it aspires to; to sensitize the local, national and international opinion on the issues in which they flounder; and try to reveal some ideas that seek to promote this important segment of society.

1. What are the most important roles of the working and middle class in society?

2. How can the status of this group of society be promoted?

3. What is the outcome of the gains achieved by this class in light of the constraints and obstacles faced?
