This week, the Arabic Language Cafe will discuss the role of youth in preserving the heritage of their nation.

The preservation of heritage is an essential necessity for people who seek to achieve their own cultural identity and to prove their identity in their past and present. The cultural heritage of nations is also an important source of knowledge and contemporary creativity of its creators, thinkers, poets and philosophers. The cultural heritage is not limited to monuments, but also includes all that affects the nation from intangible expression, including folklore, music and songs, stories, traditional science that the nation passed down through the ages, an expression of culture.

With these points in mind, at the Language Café this week will discuss the role of youth in protecting the heritage of their nation through the following question:

How can modern digital technologies, including social media, be used to promote awareness of heritage?
